Fast technology.
Elegant technology.
Technology that absolutely should have won.
And yet… sometimes it didn’t.
Why? Because technology doesn’t close deals. People do.
In a world where data, cloud, and AI evolve at a relentless pace, the hardest part of our job isn’t deploying platforms or drawing architectures — it’s building trust, reading the room, and navigating the very human side of technical decision-making.
I’m Dmitry Gorbatov, a Pre-Sales Systems Engineering Manager at Everpure, Inc. (formerly Pure Storage), and this space is where I unpack what I’ve learned at the intersection of deep technology and real-world pre-sales execution. Mastery, I’ve learned, isn’t just knowing how things work — it’s knowing when, why, and how to apply them in front of actual humans with real constraints and real risk.
